Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs)
Not all fats are bad. Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) are necessary fats that the human body cannot manufacture and must obtain from the food we eat. These are the ‘good fats’ that raise your High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) or ‘good cholesterol’ and support a number of vital body functions, such as the cardiovascular, reproductive and nervous systems.
